In celebration of Volunteers Day, the Water and Facility Services businesses of ACCIONA in the Middle East delivered meaningful and educational experiences to local schoolchildren across Doha during the past month of June.
The Water business of ACCIONA held an engaging session at The Hamilton International School of Doha, addressed to children between 8 and 9 years old. The ACCIONA Team led a dynamic, one-hour session focused on raising awareness about the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The children learned about three key SDGs: SDG 3 – Good Health and Well-being; SDG 6 – Clean Water and Sanitation and SDG 7 – Affordable and Clean Energy.
Thes SDGs were explained in a fun, interactive way, tailored to spark curiosity and participation among the young students. The sessions were met with enthusiastic involvement from the children, who engaged actively with the topics and left the classrooms with new knowledge—and big smiles.
Also, a team from Facility Services business of ACCIONA organized similar activities at two other schools in Doha: SEK International School and Queen’s International School. Volunteers led workshops and fun, educational sessions that were met with excitement and joy by the students.
Throughout all the events, the children were fully engaged, eager to participate, and visibly delighted. Gifts related with sustainability were distributed, creating an atmosphere full of laughter, learning, and gratitude.
ACCIONA remains committed to fostering sustainable development, not only through its projects and operations but also through its people and the communities where we operate—empowering employees to become ambassadors of positive change.
