The Al Khobar 2 reverse osmosis desalination plant was honored with the Best infrastructure project of the year award at the prestigious Construction Innovation Awards 2025, held last night in Riyadh.

Recognized for its scale, innovation, and impact, Al Khobar 2 is equipped with cutting-edge reverse osmosis technology and boasts a daily capacity exceeding 600,000 cubic meters, positioning it among the largest desalination facilities in the Kingdom. Notably, it stands as the largest RO plant ever awarded under an EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) scheme in a single contract in Saudi Arabia.

This landmark project will provide clean, sustainable water to over three million people in the region, playing a critical role in supporting Saudi Arabia’s infrastructure and water security goals as part of Vision 2030.
