“There’s some fantastic projects in today’s announcement like the upgrading of the scoreboards at the Terang Mortlake Netball Club, and we’re delighted to be sponsoring the Victorian Athletics League’s Terang Gift once again", says Iain Lawrie, ACCIONA Senior Manager.
ACCIONA Senior Manager Iain Lawrie has today announced the winners of the 2016 Mortlake South wind farm Community Sponsorship Program.
Mr Lawrie said “ACCIONA is committed to supporting the local community around our Mortlake South wind farm.
“There’s some fantastic projects in today’s announcement like the upgrading of the scoreboards at the Terang Mortlake Netball Club, and we’re delighted to be sponsoring the Victorian Athletics League’s Terang Gift once again.
“ACCIONA has now provided more than $70,000 to local community and sporting groups in Mortlake, Noorat, Kolora and Terang since 2010.
“ACCIONA congratulates the successful applicants and thanks all of the organisations for sharing their fantastic projects with us.”
Keith Peart from the Mortlake Community Development Committee said “we’re delighted that ACCIONA has chosen to support our project.”
“The Mortlake skate park is very popular with young people in the area. These redevelopments will mean it is more welcoming for the whole family.”

Mortlake Skate Park Rejuvenation Project Make the skate park area more family friendly. Following the 2015 Mortlake Youth Forum, a group of Year 8 students from Mortlake P-12 College decided to take on this project. They are led by Mortlake’s youth councillors. |

Sponsorship of the VAL Terang Gift Hosted by Terang Athletic Club, the gift is supported by the Victorian Athletics League (VAL). It regularly attracts 220-250 athletes from all over Victoria, Tasmania and South Australia. 2016 is the 10th year it has been staged. |

Installation of a Caravan Pull-out Awning A deck has been built on the side of their building to allow members to sit outside for lunch and other events. The awning will provide shelter for these events. |
