- Transport for New South Wales (TfNSW) Asset Standards Authority bestows AEO status to ACCIONA Infrastructure
- AEO accreditation affirms ACCIONA’s ability to tailor engineering management approach to meet the needs and integrity of NSW State rail assets
Tuesday, 4rd October 2016. ACCIONA Infrastructure has obtained accreditation as an Authorized Engineering Organisation (AEO) by Transport for New South Wales in recognition of its capacity to provide engineering services on the New South Wales rail network.
AEO accreditation affirms ACCIONA’s ability to tailor the engineering management approach to meet needs and integrity of NSW State rail assets. To obtain the accreditation, ACCIONA Infrastructure demonstrated both compliance and maturity of the engineering management arrangements implemented by Transport for New South Wales.
ACCIONA Infrastructure has expertise in New South Wales with engineering construction, operation and maintenance of transport and social infrastructure.
Transport for New South Wales’ Asset Standards Authority (ASA) promotes best practice and the growth of engineering capability and capacity within industry through the authorization of organisations to effectively provide engineering services on the NSW rail network.
The ASA expects that this will enhance knowledge transfer across industries and provide organisations with greater flexibility to deliver assets without compromising safety. The AEO certification is a mechanism to help ensure that only companies with appropriate levels of process maturity and experience can work on Rail Projects in New South Wales.
ACCIONA Infrastructure is currently working on four projects in Australia and tendering a further three projects across the eastern seaboard. In New South Wales, ACCIONA is delivering the Sydney Light Rail project as part of the Altrac consortium, and the Pacific Highway Upgrade (from Warrell Creek to Nambucca Heads) in partnership with Ferrovial. ACCIONA is also working on a tender for the Sydney Metro City and Southwest Tunnel and Station Excavation.
