Wind Farm provides boost to Community Groups in the Gunning region

Local sport and education initiatives in the Gunning region could be set to benefit from a community sponsorship program from ACCIONA, the owner and operator of the Gunning Wind Farm.

Local sport and education initiatives in the Gunning region could be set to benefit from a community sponsorship program from ACCIONA, the owner and operator of the Gunning Wind Farm.    

Applications for ACCIONA’s 2015 Gunning Wind Farm community sponsorship program are now open. 

ACCIONA’s Gunning Wind Farm Site Manager Craig Simon said it will be good to see a broad cross-section of community groups from the Gunning region supported through the sponsorship program. 

“ACCIONA takes pride in supporting local communities and our sponsorship program is one of the many ways in which we can form positive local partnerships.” 

ACCIONA’s Gunning community sponsorship program began in 2011 and in 2014 the company awarded nearly $10,000 to support local initiatives including the Annual Crookwell Show, the Gunning Rural Show and the Pony Club NSW State Jumping Equitation Championship.
